a nice change of scenery

as promised, here are a few photos from my long weekend up north. (the Nikon D50 was my trusty companion). It was wonderful to get away and catch up with old friends, as well as eat some excellent food (thanks, Jordana!), and even accomplish a little work. I tend to forget how good it is for me to have a change of scenery. very good indeed.
   
it was a blast playing in the snow while in new york, although, I can't say I was all that smooth with the sled. living in the south doesn't give one that many opportunities to hone sledding skills. I'm the nut in the back. watch out, mister.

not really the best at going straight either...

buckwheat pancakes are damn good. sharing them with molly and adam is even better.
   
and fires...what my perpetually cold feet would give for one of these. if you have one, consider yourself, and your warm feet very lucky.

okay, so that's that. I promise to get back to crafty adventures very soon. I still need to finish my January Tie One On apron among many other projects.

once again, thanks new yawkers, you're the best and I will see you this summer.
