the greens and blues

a while back I talked about how I, in full organizational dorkiness mode separated all of my fabric scraps by color. well, here's another quilted tote bag created from the inspiration found in my new, well organized blue and green drawer. it's loosely taken from the beloved log cabin pillow pattern and is one of my recent favorites. I love that dang anchor fabric, don't you?

with the possiblility of being labeled a total cat nerd, which I'm not, I swear, below you will find a series of photos showing mortimer's deep affection toward his new crackle mouse toy. it's filled with high grade organic kitty crack, and after seeing mort go nuts with it last night, I think we'll opt for the medium grade next time. geesh.

i got my purse and owl pillow yesterday!
thank you... the purse is a great size for my metro knitting.
your new owls and log cabin bags are super cute.
:)

How do you keep your fabric scraps? Do you just fold them as best as you can and pile them up, or do you have a better method? I'm totally in love with your scrap usage.

those little anchors are too much! i am really diggin on these patchwork-style purses lady! keep up the great work, i'm setting aside curious-funds for a future purchase :-)

Ohhh, I like the first bage, all the green and blue looks so good tgether.
I am of the opinion that there can never be enough kitty photos. My cats love those crinkly toys too. My mom brought some over when she met my new cat--one toy for the old cat and one for the new cat, she said, just like for kids and new babies!

love those bags! and the cat, of course!

i organize my fabric by color also! i have freezer bags full of the tiny scraps and the rest are in their own cardboard drawer out back in a special garden shed...we live in a TINY TINY place and there's simply no room for fabric inside though of course piles creep in and make themselves at home like the large green scrap pile on my living room floor...i love your blog and your craftiness happy friday!
