Mac happy

Oatmeal_for_lunch_1
Today I had oatmeal for lunch {it was cold, I was lazy}. And thanks to my lovely new Mac which came equipped with Photobooth, I was able to take this photo while I ate. In case you're wondering, I've been a sucker for photobooths for eons. My first photo strip was taken at Circus Circus in Vegas when I twelve and quite possibly the lankiest girl on earth. I remember very little about Circus Circus besides the photo booth, which is somewhat telling, don't ya think? Isn't Circus Circus supposed to be memorable?  I probably still have that photo strip somewhere...maybe I'll try to locate it.

Thanks to everyone who de-lurked. I am thrilled by the fact that each of you introduced yourself. It's great to know you're out there...and not only did I just get introduced to several cool people, but several cool people who have cool blogs I didn't know about. That is an added bonus.
More de-lurking is always welcome. I would love to hear from you. I'm giving it a go out in blogland myself.

I love the bowl! :-)
Anyway, I've de. lurked a little over at my blog! :D
I've been reading your blog for over a year nnow and you never fail to inspire me!

Man, I want a Mac! Maybe this year I'll be able to afford one. Fingers crossed. Love reading your blog - please keep it up.

you are too cute!
hey, i just noticed that you're reading inheritance of loss... i read it last summer and i liked it so much. have you read her first book, hullaballoo in the guava orchard? very different from this, incredibly funny, and wins a prize for possibly the best title ever.

I'm going to delurk. I've been reading your blog for a couple of months (I can't remember how I came across it) and I thoroughly enjoy reading it, although this is the first time I've commented. I'm a knitter in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and I have my own knit blog. Check it out!

Ahh, Circus-Circus (brilliantly described in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas). My first trip was when I was 6- my aunt was in a stage show with Jim Neighbors & I got to meet him (yah, I know, I'm cool). Actually, I did not know who he was. The great thing about that place was it had things for kids whereas the others would not allow kids in places other than the restaurants. My dad won $10.00 for me (a fortune at 6!) + I bought a doll in a gift shop. The other thing was the cocktail hostesses wore battery operated earrings that lit up. You could but them, but had to have pierced earrings (I didn't). When I went as an adult I thought it was a dump, but this was also after Vegas was Disneyfied & things had drastically changed.
A tinge of de-lurking wrapped up in a childhood memory.

Hi Leya,

I have been a lurking around your lovely blog for about 8 months now. When I first found your blog (through SouleMama…I'm a lurker on her blog too) I read it from the beginning. I was so happy to find out that you have a love for summer camp! There are so many people who don't understand the appeal of living in the woods with more children than adults. I have a camp of my own that has a special place in my heart, although I started my camp life as a counselor. I lived in Philly for a summer and fell in love with it. Reading your blog makes me so nostalgic for those times, and I love recognizing places in your pictures. Isn’t that pixilated seasons mural beautiful?!

I just graduated with a degree in art education, and will be teaching in Virginia in the Fall. My concentration was in painting, mostly acrylic and some watercolors. I don’t have a blog (but I have shakily started a flickr account jordanjr186 ), but I think I might start one to document my first year of being a teacher.

:)

Another faithful reader, here, from Oregon. Thank you so much for your insightful and inspiring posts.

I've been lurking around here for a few months when it's slow at my job (like now). Your owls and obis make me smile and wish that I was at home with my sewing machine. Thanks for inspiring me and making me miserable at the same time!

I must admit, yours is the only non-knitting blog I read regularly. I love that you rejoice in life's simple pleasures and your artistic pictures really reflect that.

I am an environmental science student by day, I adventure in the outdoors whenever possible, rock climbing, snowshoeing backpacking. I try to knit as much as possible as a creative outlet.

Keep up all the creative goodness

hi.
My name is Sarah and I am a lurker. I have been a lurker for many many months now and wish everyone to know!
I live on the south coast of England, work a full time job and try to fit in as much sewing as is posible. Check out my blog to find out all the gruesome details!!
Take care and thanks for your blog xx

I just discovered your blog so I haven't been lurking but I certainly do lurk around other knit blogs, feel free to lurk or comment on mine :). Your blog is great btw!
