a very important piece of knowledge
There are two things you should know:
1. We received a new set of glasses as a wedding gift. They are rather wide-mouthed, a feature we like.
2. When going to bed, Dustin often takes a glass of water and places it on his bed-side table.
After my discovery this morning, I think things are about to change...

**also, just so you know, the fact that I was able to grab my camera and capture this moment, has pretty much made my day.

I'm so glad that you caught this on film!! I put a glass of water on my night stand every evening as well, but I put a little notebook on top to keep the kitties out.

Too cute. In my house, we would have woken up to one of our cats knocking the glass over!

Oh my god! If my husband saw one of our cats doing that he would FREAK! He about vomits every time one of them hops on the table or counter with their "litter box paws."
Let's just say he's not the cat person that I am.
I love love love this photo!

How lucky you are! You had a wonderful opportunity taking this picture.

i've found that citrus slices seem to deter my cat from doing this to my water...not so much fun to grab a glass of water in the middle of the night and have it taste like cat!
lovely capture though!!

How Gorgeous, and such a lovely photo. My cat he's so fussy he will only drink water from a glass, and it has to be fresh! they are such lovely beings.

My cats' drinking from my bedside water glass led me to leave a water glass just for them on the bedside table. It's now their primary drinking source, and they leave my cup alone!

After I found some cat litter floating in my bedside glass, I went straight to bottled water for the nightstand. It kind of grossed me out a bit! Stephanie's husband may be right about "litter box paws"! :)

I've caught one of my cats in that same act! One of them likes to drink the water out of the small jug I use to fill my iron.

I always have water on my night stand. But after multiple nights waking up to the sound of the cat lapping water out of my glass or the glass being tipped over, I have gone to a water bottle. No more kitties in my water!

I'm having so much fun going through your blog archives. I love your photography. I'm trying to study it so some of it's magic might rub off on me...I love these cat photos! Made me giggle. Thanks!...You're a great storyteller, too. You've got a unique style.
