I'm not sure when it started, but for as long as I can remember I have always made my bed (even during college when I tended to stay in it a little later than I do now). I enjoy the process. I don't mind it even during the winter months when a lot more effort is required due to down comforters and quilts. sometimes we make the bed together. sometimes dustin makes it before I get around to it. it always gets made. I like it that way.

made up bed makes the whole room look neat and so much more enjoyable, right? I love it too :)

I totally agree that making the bed ties the whole neatness of a room together. Glad to know that I'm not the only one.
Thanks for starting the Daily Ritual group, by the way. It was a great idea!

Every morning I make my bed after I have had my shower. Something doesn't feel right if I don't make it; I think it is because my parents got me into doing it when I was quite young.
Happy day to you!

I really like the idea of photographing the "rituals" of life. They are simple things, but are very beautiful and can reveal a lot about a person and their life. Thanks for sharing!

I hate making my bed. But I love my bed to be made - you know what I mean? Yes, I do love a made bed, but I rarely make it. I think it has something to do with the "unfinished-ness" of our bed. We still haven't been able to afford a frame, so the super high mattresses just sit on the floor, box spring is exposed. I hate the look of it, so I find myself never wanting to make it. It's me hating the state of my bed. I honestly think that if my bed was beautiful, I would sleep better.
