A few photos from the nursery. Although it's almost complete, I'm going to hold off finishing it entirely until after the baby arrives. By that I mean, I'm not making up the crib or the changing station -- we're not going to be using the crib for a while anyway. Most of the decorating is done, though. I hope the Bug enjoys spending time in there as much as we do. More photos to come a little later...
Hope you had a great weekend. We certainly did. Noot sure how we pulled it off, but we managed to be social and restful and productive all in one weekend. I took two-hour naps each day and they might just rate as the best naps I have ever taken. We went to a nice going away party on Saturday night for a friend who's moving to L.A. (I think people were kind of shocked to see me out). And, we also made great progress on or completed many of the house projects we have on our to-do list. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Happy Monday to you!
More soon,
L.
p.s. just in case you're curious: the pattern for the birds on the branch can be found here. the woodland wall decals are by wee gallery. and, I hand painted the wooden bird houses which were found on the cheap at A.C. Moore.

Very, very excellent.
I love it.

Beautiful, oh....it´s all so exciting!! How must you feel????
I have two kids and both came later than exepted, therefore I had much time to spend outside. The people looked at me as if I were an alien, hehehehe...To be honest maybe I looked a bit like that with that enourmous belly.... :o)
All the best to you!!!

we put up the crib before my daughter was born. it sat there for 6 months before we decided we were never going to put her in it.
your bassinet is beautiful and sooo cozy and womblike.

what a sweet space you have made in there.
And you know, we set up the nursery and then once MrO arrived I realized that there were some much better ways to have things set out and organized. You will figure out your rhythm and what works best once June-bug is with you.
wishing you well!

Yo, the late pregnancy naps are rocking my world big time too. I have never been a napper, but Busy might have converted me. They feel soooo luxurious. I thought about you many times throughout the weekend and wondered if Junebug was headed your way yet. Eeeps!

I was just wondering yesterday when you were gonna give a sneakpeek at the nursery, it looks really sweet and relaxing there.

I must have missed those wall stickers the first time I saw this post. Went to look at them and wow! they are about the coolest thing I've ever seen, esp the woodland ones.....those trees! and the woodpecker...they are so fantastic. When I was pregnant, I bought some wee gallery art cards and never saw anything like these....they must be new. So pretty...I can't wait to see the whole room put together. I just might have to buy those stickers!
