Our baby boy is 7 months old today -- it makes my head spin to see that I just typed a 7 before the word months! How the heck did time pass so fast!? I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that 7 months ago today I was sitting in a room holding Felix and inspecting every inch of his sweet newborn body. And today, I watched him whack some measuring cups together while squealing in delight and had a good laugh when he twisted his face up upon tasting green beans for the first time.
D and I are having so much fun getting to know our boy. He is becoming more social and interactive, but is still very, very snuggly. I live for those snuggles...
Highlights of the last month include:
Lots of jabbering. He is quite fond of the sound Bah!
We started using some simple signs with him (more, mama, daddy, milk, kitty).
He loves peek-a-boo and playing with silky scarves. Lots of giggles and smiles come out when we play "where's Felix?"
He has only two teeth right now. However, the drool faucet turns on and off without warning, so more are most certainly in the works. We had a little biting incident last week -- it was super traumatic (for me!) but we've worked it out and are back in business. Awww...teething!
Happy 7 month birthday, Felix Augustus!
May the longtime sun shine upon you.
Love,
Mama + Daddy
p.s. As you can see, these days, the paper sign is for eating, not holding.
"oooh, this looks like heaven. perfect new year yarn"
