It is hard to believe that we are now at the 10 month mark. We're certainly closing in on his first birthday, aren't we? Geesh. Lately, I've been getting a kick out of thinking about what I was up to last year at this time. One thing that sticks out in my memory is how I was doing my damnest to find a comfortable sleeping position. The great "pillow throne" was in full effect and poor Dustin was doing his best to find a couple of inches of space for himself. Fast forward to now. My pillow usage is back to normal and I'm sleeping comfortably most nights with only a wake up here and there to calm the little guy one room over. Or if not calm him, listen to him having one of his 3am play parties!
This boy of ours continues to impress us with all that he does. He loves to play peek-a-boo and other silly games, like the one that involves me clacking two toys together while making funny faces. So simple, yet sooo hilarious. That giggle of his makes me weak in the knees, so I'll clack toys all day long if I have to. If you can't already tell, we are totally smitten with our 10 month-old baby boy. This is such a great age.
The highlights from the last month include:
He has mastered the crawl! I would be lying if I said he has lots of stamina just yet, but I'm sure he'll turn up the volumn any day now.
We've witnessed lots of clapping lately. He gets very excited about a certain Happy Baby product (PUFFS!) and claps enthusiastically each time he hears the word or sees the container.
Lots of "Mama" and "Baba" is being said-- Dustin may have to change his name from Daddy to Baba...
I'm not completely sure, but I think he may have made the sign for "milk" a couple of times. Still trying to figure that one out.
He took his first trip to the Philadelphia Zoo when his grandma was visiting. I didn't get to join in, but according to Dustin he really loved the flamingos and a very ugly bearded pig(!), but had little interest in much else. I plan to take him again to see for myself. I'm also intrigued by something called a bearded pig. ;)
