lost + found

Have you ever lost something and didn't even realize it? I have. I know I would have figured it out eventually because the "I haven't seen his sunhat in a while" thought was in the back of my mind. Although it was only a whisper, it was sure to have grown louder.  The little stripey hat I've had for almost a year was indeed lost, likely for a day or maybe even two. And shockingly it has been found. This makes me very happy because you can probably tell I LOVE that silly sunhat.  

Without evening knowing it was lost, I found it -- guess where? -- in the street as flat as a pancake stained with sad little tire tracks. I gasped when I spotted it. I wasn't even looking for it. Dustin was there and he heard me gasp. It had been dropped (in the street) by someone (I'm not naming any names but I will say this person has been known to RIP hats off and throw them willy nilly!). I picked it up and carried it home. It was soaked for an entire day. Fingers were crossed. Now it is good as new. Well, almost.

things I like: linens

After having her baby boy and taking time off, Elisabeth Bentz has recently started working in her studio again and has new linens in her shop. I love her new dyed tea towels.

 

wee tattoos

 

I'm a big fan of Wee Gallery. I used their woodland wall decals in Felix's nursery and am so glad I did. He loves looking at them; although, he tore the raccoon's tail off one day while he played in his crib ever so quietly!

Just saw they now have tattoos. Too cute. Might have to give these out at one of our upcoming baby parties.

snaps from the weekend

a favorite combo. new lilac toenails and gold saltwaters (my favorite summer sandals).  funny how changing nail polish can turn a frown upside down.

pretty (and lovely smelling) bouquet from a dear friend. I am going to miss her so much.

sandbox shenanigans. how many babies can you fit in a sandbox? it turns out to be quite a few.

Had a bounty of French Breakfast radishes this year.  Very tasty and surprisingly spicy for what I had thought to be a milder variety. A little sea salt on these is all you need. Yum!
