Lately Felix has been pulling my cookbooks off a shelf in the kitchen, something I'm usually not that keen on. However, late last week he pulled my favorite bread book out, which reminded me it was due time that we make some bread. I flipped around deciding a nice loaf of olive bread would be perfect, and that is what we did. As usual it was so simple to make and the result was very satisfying (and nice to look at). Why I don't bake bread every week is a question I have been asking myself. I think I might have to start.
Are you a bread baker? Any favorite recipes to share?
Hope your week is off and running in a pleasant way.
More soon,
Leya

I love to bake and just yesterday I posted a recipe I found on another blog that I've been making. It's olive bread too.

My go-to bread is a Cuban bread that only requires flour, salt, yeast, sugar and water. The second rising takes place in the oven as it warms so the bread forms an amazing thick and chewy crust. Simply delicious.

B. is just now getting into baking bread. He has made some yummy loaves lately. This book looks good...

I have a no-knead bread that is amazing! My extended family all has the recipe because they are obsessed. There is nothing better than making your bread!

I too wonder why I don't bake bread more. I go through cycles where I'll make a loaf every few days, and then take a break for a coule of weeks. I generally use the no-knead bread recipe (always with whole wheat flour) found here:

It's super easy and I put it together the night before to begin rising. If I feel like kneading, I've just begun to use this recipe, which is delicious:
