Felix requested "a green cake with sprinkles" when asked what he would like to have for his birthday. He saw sprinkles for the first time (at least on a cake) last weekend when we attended the birthday party of a friend. The cake I made is a far cry from the sugarless applesauce cake I made Felix for his 1st birthday, but a mama has to be flexible and okay with the occasional sugar rush, right? :-)
He loved it, especially the surprise green he discovered when the cake was cut. Two points for mama.
We have a birthday shindig with several of his little buddies planned for next weekend. More cake and more sugar rushes here we come!
