Romy is three weeks old today. He is such a sweet little fella, and a stellar nurser (he just weighed in at 10lbs 8oz). He's a decent napper, too. However, we're still working on the whole sleeping at night thing -- so far it has been pretty tricky (night/day reversal??). Hoping to settle in to getting a few hours in a row sometime soon. Fingers tightly crossed on that one.
Things I forgot from the first time around:
Finding the time to shower is really difficult. Like, next to impossible.
My desire to eat ice cream sandwiches, well, ice cream in general is off the charts.
I can get really crabby.
I need things clearly explained. Running on very limited brain power here.
Wearing a burp cloth on my shoulder is required at all times, especially given that I can't find the time to shower.
We change A LOT of diapers.
3am diaper changes are hilarious. Talk about all thumbs and no common sense.
New babies smell amazing and they are the most snugly little bundles of love ever.
They are extremely cute when they get milk drunk, too. ;-)
More soon,
Leya
