these days the leaves are quietly falling from the trees. felix is noticing and has expressed interest in repeating one of his favorite activities -- the great leaf pile rake and jump extravaganza. his memory amazes me sometimes. make that all the time.
these days we've been making a point to say, "romy, you're going to have to wait, I need to take care of/hold/play with felix right now." it seems to help our big boy through some of the rough patches that happen from time to time.
these days, when I can steal a few minutes, I have been reading and enjoying Everyday Blessings by Myla and Jon Kabat-Zinn. It's nice to remind myself to be as present as possible during these special newborn weeks and months. (yesterday romy turned 6 weeks old!)
these days we're eating dinner earlier than we ever have and it seems to be exactly the right choice for our family. the transistion to bath and bed is so.much.smoother.
these days I'm reminded how much I enjoy tapping out a few words in this space. life is full and very busy, but I do love saying hello. HELLO.
