Curious Bird

It has certainly been established that I'm a big fan of lounging. Don't get me wrong, I get things done, but I do love some quality time relaxing at home, therefore, comfy lounge pants are crucial. I whipped these beauties up in less than an hour using this new Betsy Ross pattern.
I will make more of these pants -- no question.

For what it's worth, I did some durability testing and in addition to being cute,
the pants are definitely sturdy.  (also, if you're like me and haven't jumped on the bed in a while, you should give it a go. it's damn fun)

Hello,
Another Art Star Craft Bazaar has come and gone. Saturday was kind of a bust due to weather (lightening freaks me out), but the lovely weather all day Sunday made up for it in a huge way. Overall, we had a great time sitting under our little tent surrounded by all things Curious Bird. More owl pillows found new homes and quite a few baby birds will be sporting newly designed tshirts, onesies, tank tops, and bibs. The new location at Penn's Landing was a huge success in my opinion. Being right on the water with enough space to spread out a bit made all the difference.

As soon as I can get things photographed, I'm planning a nice shop update. Here's a peek at a new bag that will available very soon.

Hello, friends

So happy Friday has come. I'm working away here, sewing and scheming for Art Star next weekend (taking lots of breaks to eat delicious cherries too). I know I'll say this several more times, but if you're in the area next Saturday or Sunday, please stop by and say hello.

Renegade and my girl Sue make the New York Times!

fun in the sun

We're back from a lovely weekend in Brooklyn. Renegade was excellent...and a wee bit exhausting. The heat was no joke and I've got a nice little sunburn to prove it. When will I learn to reapply sunscreen at regular intervals? 
I'm short on time and energy tonight, but here are some highlights and photos that pretty much tell the story.

• New discoveries: Serigraphie Cinqunquatre, Pillow, Pillow, Pillow, Species by the Thousands, Helge

• Selling my new Babybird creations to all sorts of sweetie pie kiddos. Dustin sold a wee giraffe tank top to a woman who was having trouble deciding simply by saying the words Chubby+Little+Arms.  He's funny like that.

• Running into old friends and meeting up with my Brooklyn peeps as well as having a really good dinner with friends at Bonita, complete with a pitcher of white wine margaritas after a long days work on Saturday.

• Sesame Letterpress grab-bags. It was a gamble, but for $5 dollars, I scored the mother load {coasters, cards, and tags).
