I finally found frames for these wonderful drawings I commissioned a while back. Not sure why it always takes me so long to find frames for new artwork, but it definitely does. Sometimes Ikea just won't work...that was definitely the case here, not because I'm picky, but because each drawing is so small (2x3). It was worth the wait, though. Thank you, Anthropologie sale table.

Just a quick hello from me tonight. It's been sleepy time around here. No, not for me, just for Mortimer and Motown. They're so lucky...either that, or so bored.
I'm been busy finishing up my prints for the Winter Gocco Swap over at cloth.paper.string. I'm hoping to get them all sent out this weekend. Thirteen little gocco goodies from all over will be heading my way soon. I can't wait to see what everyone creates.
Okay, back to my glass of red wine and the gocco.

I am now an official pet portrait collector. This development is probably no surprise to you because it's no secret around here how I feel about my catties-- they've been in my life (our lives) for over eleven years now, and they're an utterly sweet and snuggly part of our family. After finding susiesosad on Etsy, I had to place an order (talk about affordable) and both little drawings just arrived. They turned out great. You might recognize them from here and here.

1. We received a new set of glasses as a wedding gift. They are rather wide-mouthed, a feature we like.
2. When going to bed, Dustin often takes a glass of water and places it on his bed-side table.
After my discovery this morning, I think things are about to change...

If I wore high heels, I would wear these a lot. They're the kind of "fancy" shoes a girl with a serious collection of tights could use. They also provide the same kind of excitement Jelly sandals used to offer to me about 25 years ago...

can you find the white kitty in the sea of white bedding? of course you can...who could miss those pink ears. and for the record, if we stayed in bed all day, he wouldn't have much of a problem with it. he's a committed sleeper.
so hello there, it's already friday and in my opinion, that's just nuts. I've had a nice week -- the weather has been amazingly cooperative. I've been working, playing and eating numerous salads. My current favorite thing to do is make an amazing salad {sliced almonds are key} and then have some toast with fresh basil pesto on top. yes siree. I'm all about that combo.
hopefully this weekend will be productive, the plan is to finish only one clothing project for myself {I'm almost done with it}, but mostly I'm set on getting some serious work done for Art Star, which is just about a month away. I'm really looking forward to it -- last year was loads of fun. Also, my girl Aimee turns 30 on cinco de mayo!! A cause for celebration for sure.
