It was a colorful weekend. We dyed eggs, something I haven't done in at least a few years. A big mess was made. Good times.
The quince is blooming.
Oh, and a small pack of raccoons were created. Yep, that's right. Raccoons. They're cute and soft and full of personality.

***update*** A group of Raccoons is called a nursery, not a pack. I learn something new every day.
What have I been up to? Oh nothing much, just sewing a bus load of eye masks. Well, that and making a few other things I've been meaning to tackle. I dropped several of my eye masks off at Art Star here in Philly today if you happen to live in the area and want one pronto. I'm hoping to get some loaded in my shop very soon too. Speaking of the shop, I just added some vintage coats and jackets just in time for winter. It is winter, right? Actually, it's supposed to be cold here again real soon, so I should enjoy the warmth while it lasts.

Did you think I meant something else?
After a long time in the works, I'm thrilled to introduce a new line of infant and toddler items known as Babybird now available in the shop. Each and every item is handmade by me, which can mean sewn or drawn and hand-printed on soft tees, tanks and bibs. I mean, what little baby couldn't use a t-shirt with a couple of surly giraffes on the front...

A quick hello today. I'm feeling much better and in catch up mode after being sick for four days.
The above piece is one I finished recently. I'm working on several new pieces for all the summer shows I have planned, as well as a few for the shop. Speaking of the shop...there are new items being added often over there...

Above are some of my newest patchwork obis, both of these are headed to Art Star with a few of my mixed media pieces and some other curiousbird goodies. These obis were made possible using scrap fabric kindly gifted to me by the lovely Shona. I thought I had a thing for surprising people with packages...well, Shona certainly has me beat in that department. Thanks again, lady.
More obis and other items will be added to the shop as soon as 1. I get a few orders out the door and 2. I get the new sewing labels that I ran out of and only remembered to order a few weeks ago.
Dustin and I are off to see Little Children. I wish we could make it a double feature because there are so many great films out right now.
