a little on the iffy side
Do you ever see something while out and know that as soon as you get home you'll have a pair of scissors in hand within minutes of walking through the door? This sort of thing happens to me quite often. A recent example would be when I saw one of those ear flap hats worn by a little kid that couldn't have been more than four. Why I decided I needed to try making myself a hat I saw a preschooler wearing is beyond me { age is just a number, right?}. What I do know is that I liked the hat ALOT and wanted to see if I even had the skills to execute a pattern-free duplication...
Okay...so maybe I could have done better with a pattern of some kind. I don't know exactly what to make of this new creation. I can't bring myself to put it in the project mishap pile. It's not 100% wrong, in my opinion. I do like the color combo and the coordinating stitches, and when the flaps are all tied up, I think its probably wearable. However, when the flaps come down, and especially when they're tied under my chin, I can't seem to quit making silly faces. Honestly, though, when the temperature drops below 20 here in Philly, which its certain to do, I'm almost positive I'll risk looking a little silly, chin strap and all. The cold has been known to make me do strange things.
and for random fun. some things I recently discovered:
I do not like gnocchi. I've tried and it's not my thing
my memory is quite good. when asked I was able to remember my childhood telephone number
buying a humidifier makes good sense.
be well,
l.
