We have gone to the same Christmas tree farm for three years now. We like it a lot and honestly quite enjoy the half hour drive it takes to get there. And bonus, there is a little stand at our tree farm where several lovely teenagers will make and sell you fresh donuts with powdered sugar. We always have some donuts before selecting our tree, because, well, donuts!
Now that the boys are getting older (2 and 4, oh my!!) they really get a kick out of finding the tree we're going to bring home. Felix especially. He is serious business when it comes to the right Christmas tree. Romy on the other hand honestly prefers to smell the trees. All of them.
He found the tree he liked and didn't budge. Good thing it was a good one. Tall and slender. I like tall and slender trees.
He smelled every tree (and poked himself in the eye quite a few times!)
That is Dustin's tree-selecting game face. My people are serious about Christmas trees.
Success!
Hope you are having a wonderful month of December. This can be a difficult month for people for all kinds of reasons. I'm committed to keeping things very simple this year. I have even decided to take a year off from sending holiday cards. It just feels right to me.
Until next time...take good care,
L.
